Celebrating 29 years of Globe Gallery
For 29 years Globe Gallery has been at the forefront of independent contemporary art, always challenging, never excluding. The organisation embraces change but is also proud of its continuity. We blend high standards of artistic presentation, with community collaboration and a firm commitment to the development of all artists.
Our archive is a rich resource, and testament to the collective efforts of a dynamic and diverse team of people committed to delivering powerful experiences and opportunities through engagement with art.

David’s Story
Globe Gallery, where to begin, at the beginning I guess. My introduction to ‘Globe World’ was, perhaps, seventeen years ago.
-
Francis’ Story
I met Rashida and Globe (they are both indivisible) very early after starting my year long residency at BALTIC in 2000.

Aah the Globe Gallery… what a wonderland of innovation, contemporary art, hard work, excitement and resilience!
-
Terry’s Story
I can't remember exactly when I first met Rashida, perhaps it was in Venice, I am not sure. But a conversation about a show developed as usual over time.
