“Sculpture is everything but what it is.”– Gabrielle Wambaugh. The work in the exhibition looks at what space does to a volume. Wambaugh offers viewers to carry out their own exploration.
Gabrielle Wambaugh, a French artist is known as a sculptor with a particular interest in materials, often combining clay with other substances such as plastic and rubber. Wambaugh was a Norma Lipman Fellow in Ceramics at Newcastle University. Among her other achievements, artist has been a guest at the EKWC in Holland and Artist in Residence at the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres. Wambaugh exhibited all over the world: UK, France, Netherlands, Italy, United States to name a few. Currently, lives and works in Paris.
