Just as a beachcomber collects, reuses and remakes found objects so Denis Doran creates his images through a process of endless sifting, reworking and filing. The resulting images have an almost painterly quality: hues and tones appear throughout the work mimicking those of a paintbrush, belying the use of a computer to produce the work.
